Among the City's 2,000 businesses, there are 18 major retail stores, over 50 restaurants and 16 hotels/motels. Distinctive master-planned business parks and easily accessible offices, warehouses and plant sites make Stafford an attractive business location. With much of the City’s remaining open land zoned for commercial and industrial development, Stafford has room for quality, commercial expansion.

U.S. Highway 59 (the Southwest Freeway) and U.S. 90A, which was recently expanded and extensively landscaped, traverse the City.  Additionally, the Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8) lies only three minutes from town.  All of this makes it easy to move between every part of Stafford and most other locations in the Houston metropolitan area, making all cultural, civic, recreational, business and religious centers and sports stadiums and arenas just minutes away.
