Juveniles

Persons who are under the age of 17 years charged with a traffic offense may not plead guilty to an offense except in open court before the Judge. Such persons may not be convicted of an offense or fined except in the presence of one or both parents or guardian having legal custody of said person.

Persons under the age of 18 years charged with an offense arising under the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code may not be convicted of an offense unless a parent or legal guardian is present in court.
